Stage 1: the product look
You have probably seen these kits on the shelves of Ulta or Sophora in the makeup kit section. I remember the first time I did, it was insanity to see my designs in action and people buying them.
For this project, I was working at the Daniel Mostyn Agency. Daniel is a highly successful hair stylist to this day and did hair for Alecia Keys for a while. He opened up an agency to help his beauty connections with product launches. Everything from the Product design to the marketing resources, this agency did it all. I was the head of creative design from ages 16-18. My first job and it was an incredible experience!
Melissa came to us wanting to launch 4 new makeup kits to hit shelves across the world.
I was sent the photos, the name of each kit, and Melissa's portfolio catalog of products as she was big on keeping branding and aesthetics tight.
Stage 2: finalizing the box
Here we have the final design and mockup to send for Melissa's approval. Which she did immediately because how good does this look This is just 1/4 kits.
This project was definitely high stakes as it's Melissa Sassine. That name holds a crazy amount of weight! I was 17 years old in my room in PHX, AZ working remotely with her and Dainiel who are both out of Australia. It was wild!

Clean, simple, chic, classy. Everything Melissa Sasine is known for. How good does this look? To this day I'm beyond proud of my work here. Big shoutouts go to Daniel for putting it all together!
